The Man
I am Rico Sharp, and I believe in the power of positive thinking and personal growth. As a motivational speaker, my passion is to change lives by sharing my personal challenges and journey. Born to a loving and strong teenage mother who lost both of her parents as a child, she struggled to raise three sons. I faced many obstacles along the way including homelessness as a teenager, cocaine addiction, multiple near death experiences, drug overdose, criminal activities, and 19 times of incarceration, all by the age of 20. While incarcerated for the 19th time, I became self-motivated and re-enrolled in school to gain an education and took a vocational courses to gain interpersonal life skills. Although I made a lot of uneducated and immature choices, I never lost sight of my goals and continued to work diligently to turn my life around. Today, I am a successful Arthur, Life Coach, Mentor, Motivational Speaker, Leadership Trainer, Entrepreneur, School Safety and Student Success Expert, and Shoe brand owner (Sharp Shoes) who inspires others to strive for success, overcome adversity, give life all you've got, and "Bring out the Best in you."
With over three decades of experience as a successful business man and entrepreneur (property investor), I offer business strategies, resilience tools, educational empowerment, inspirational motivation, along with life-changing tools that will help you manifest your vision, accomplish your goals, and live your dream. As a leadership man at heart with multiple businessess and accomplishments, I understand the unique obstacles we encounter along the journey. It is for that reason that I launched Rico Sharp Motivations and Rico Sharp's Leadership Development Training. These are areas I specialize in as an expert to help you be resilient and overcome life's challenges. You must believe in "the power of you" as much as I believe in "the power of me" and know that nothing is impossible, and life is what you make it.

At the heart of my message, as a motivational speaker, is the belief that everyone has the power to transform their lives. My belief comes from my personal triumph and transformation in life from a homeless teenager, addicted to cocaine, incarcerated 19 times but is now a world changer.
